Monday Essentials: Meetings Monday, Farmer's Market Tuesday, New Play, Eats Friday

Budget Commission today - The Woonsocket Budget Commission meets tonight. Open session starts at 5 p.m. at Harris Hall on the third floor of City Hall. 

Zoning Board tonight - 
The Woonsocket Zoning Board will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Harris Hall in City Hall, 169 Main St. On the agenda is an application for a special use permit for Allsaints, Inc. to operate a restaurant serving alcohol at at 1077 Park Ave. and a special use permit application by Elias Rojas, 89 Bourdon Blvd., and KenYang, 60 Rathbun St., to operate a place of worship at 60 Rathbun St.

Farmer's Market Tuesday
- The Woonsocket Farmers Market is open every Tuesday, 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Thundermist Health Center. Swing by and check out the fresh food and items for sale. For more details about the market visit: Woonsocket Farmers Market.

King O' the Moon Friday - Reservations are now open for King O' the Moon directed by Lynn Nadrowski. This is the second in a three-play series by playwright Tom Dudzick. Funny, poignant and all about growing up Catholic in the 60s. Show dates are Sept. 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. Theatre Works is at 142 Clinton St., Woonsocket. For reservations, call 401-766-1898. Tickets cost $19 and $15.

Mom's Grand Opening - If you sampled the food dished out by Mom's Home Cooking during the 125th Woonsocket Birthday Block Party and want some more, or if you'd just like to try out a new restaurant, the eatery is opening Sept. 15 at 6 Florida St.
