Wednesday: School's Open, Providence Street Closed, Creative Writing, And Mark It

Welcome to Wednesday, Woonsocket. Here are some things to plan your day around.

School's in - Today is the first day of school for Woonsocket Public Schools. Mind the extra pedestrians crossing the street this morning, and be careful passing bus stops. The first day will be a sunny one for students, and 74 degrees.

Providence Street Closed - Repairs to a broken sewer main on Providence Street near #121 will close the road today from to Lincoln Street to Ballou Street. The repair is expected to take one workday to complete. There will be no thru-trucking on Providence Street from South Main Street to Smithfield Road that day. Check out a list of detours and plan your day accordingly.
