Woonsocket DPW's Waste Management Division has cancelled collection for Friday Jan. 3, thanks to the snowstorm that's expected to last till noon that day.

Since Fridays route would have been Thursdays collection due to the New Year holiday, the cancelation will push collection back another day:
  • Thursdays route will now be collected on Saturday.
  • Fridays route will be collected Monday Jan 6
  • Monday Jan 6 through Friday Jan 10 will be delayed by one day. (The delay next week will also be for Bulk Item collection.)
Solid Waste Manger Mike Debroisse requests residents keep their trash and recycling carts on their property until their collection day. This goes for all properties in the City (City serviced and privately serviced), to assist the plows in their efforts to keep the City roadways passable.
