Woonsocket and Burriville Police arrested five men and one youth at 97-99 Roberts Street Wednesday in connection to two home invasion robberies and are seeking another man, Charles Perry, 21 of Pawtucket, considered armed and dangerous.
Woonsocket Police have an arrest warrant for Perry in the robberies, one in each community. The Burrillville robbery occurred on March 6 at 160 Cherry Farm Road. The Woonsocket robbery occurred on March 24 at 156 Park Ave. In both cases, the men were robbing victims of marijuana. Police ask that anyone with information about Perry call 401-769-4444, according to Woonsocket Public Information Officer Jamie Paone.
On Wednesday, March 27, members of both police departments were conducting follow-up investigations into the robberies when they learned a juvenile male suspected in the crimes was at the Roberts Street address, Paone said.
Detectives from both agencies went to the apartment at about 1 p.m. When the door was opened by someone inside, there was a strong odor of marijuana and what appeared to be a handgun in plain view. Detectives secured the apartment and those inside, Paone said in press release sent out this afternoon.
Four adults and one juvenile were transported to the Woonsocket Police Department and interviewed. They were later charged with possession of marijuana, robbery and conspiracy in both investigations.
The five adults included Kyeme Gallagher, 22, of 20 Bell Street, Apartment 1, Woonsocket; Charles Welch, 23, of 97 Roberts Street, First Floor Right, Woonsocket; Cyril Delgado, 19, of 97 Roberts Street, First Floor Left, Woonsocket; Andrew Perry, 21, of 90 Girard Avenue, Newport; and Randy Santana, 21, of 482 Park Ave. second floor front.
The Attorney General’s Office and ATF assisted in the investigation. The investigation is continuing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
