Trooper Log: Skipped Hearings, Man Delivered to Family Court

Court scofflaw collared during traffic stop

At 4 p.m. Nov. 11, troopers arrested James M. Sawyer II, age 29, of 114 Third Ave., for a 6th District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay, on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License, from the Woonsocket Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop. Sawyer was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Pawtucket Man arrested in Woonsocket for not showing on suspended license charges 

At 9:22 a.m., troopers arrested Christopher Ruiz, age 21, of 129 Bloodgood St., Pawtucket, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Cranston Police Department, and a Sixth District Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Diamond Hill road in the City of Woonsocket. Ruiz was transported to Headquarters, processed, and later transported to Third District Court.

City Man arrested for failing to appear on suspended license charge

At 4 p.m. Nov. 12, troopers arrested James M. Sawyer II, age 29, of 114 Third Ave., Woonsocket, for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay, on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License, originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop. Sawyer was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Man arrested on non-support charge turned over to Family Court

On Nov. 13, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Michael Hawes, age 22, of 83 Achilles St., Woonsocket, on a Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment for Non-Support and a Sixth District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear on a Suspended License charge. 

Hawes was processed and turned over to Family Court officials.
