Troopers apprehend city man, escaped bank robber

At 5:57 p.m. June 1, Troopers arrested Eric Lefrancois, age 37, of 74 Laurier St., Woonsocket, RI, as a Federal Escapee for Robbery – Banking Type originating out of the United States Marshal Service (Boston, MA). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295 North in the Town of Cumberland. Lefrancois was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and then turned over to Wyatt Detention Center.

Woman arrested on DUI charge after traffic stop on Rte. 146

On Friday June 1, at 4:30 p.m., Troopers arrested Donna R Mandell, age 47, of 91 St. Barnabe St., Woonsocket, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs-.15/Greater (Phase I .331) (Phase II .320). Arrest was the result of a BOLO out of the Lincoln Woods Barracks for a possible intoxicated operator and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Rte. 146 north in the Town of Lincoln.

City man arrested on child pornography possession, soliciting minor charges

On June 1, at about 7 a.m., members of the Computer Crimes Unit arrested Benjamin Goss, age 48, of 347 Pond St., Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Indecent Solicitation of a Minor.

Goss was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, where he was processed. He was arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Magistrate Ippolito and released on $10,000 Personal Recognizance with special bail conditions of no internet use and no contact with people under 18 years of age. This arrest was the result of a complaint and investigation handled by members of the Computer Crimes Unit.

Local man arrested for failing to appear for suspended license fine

On Saturday, June 2, at 10:30 p.m., troopers arrested Kevin Drew, age 30, of 134 Rathbun St., Woonsocket, Rhode Island on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay Fines on an original charge of Driving with a Suspended License from the State Police Scituate Barracks.

This arrest was the result of troopers responding to a Disabled Motor Vehicle on Route 146 North in the Town of Lincoln. Drew was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center.

Men arrested for failing to appear on suspended license charge

At 1:45 p.m. June 4, Troopers arrested Roger Lange, age 32, of 153 Wellstone Drive, Palm Coast, FL for a 6th District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License originating from the North Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cumberland Hill Road in the City of Woonsocket. Lange was transported to Headquarters for processing, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released.

At 7:03 p.m., Troopers arrested Tyris Nealy, age 31, of 58 Cranston St., Woonsocket, RI for a 3rd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on April 24, 2012 on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License originating from the State Police Chepachet Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Verry Street in the City of Woonsocket. Nealy was transported to Headquarters for processing, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution. 

Man arrested for domestic assault, failing to appear

At 8:16 p.m., Troopers arrested Jonathan Beharry, age 27, of 37 Deerfield St., Cranston, RI for 1) 3rd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on a charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating from the Cranston Police Department 2) 3rd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on Jan, 12, 2012 on a charge of Vandalism originating from the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pond Street in the City of Woonsocket. Beharry was transported to Headquarters for processing, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.
