Scorned Lover Set Boyfriend's Home on Fire, Police Say

Corinne Latraverse was charged with arson.

Police have arrested a woman after she allegedly lit her boyfriend's home on fire when she found out he was cheating on her.

Corinne Latraverse, 30, of Woonsocket, was charged with arson.

Latraverse on Saturday allegedly set fire to an apartment building at 26 Monty Avenue where she lived with her boyfriend. The blaze quickly got out of control and engulfed the entire building, drawing firefighters from across the region. Two firefighters fell when part of a floor collapsed, though they didn't suffer major injuries, according to WPRI-TV.

The fire left eight people homeless.
