UPDATE: Police Arrest Erratic Driver For Stolen Plates

Officers, detective check on dealer plates after stopping car.

Update:6:11 p.m.: Public Information Officer Det. Jamie Paone said officers arrested the driver of a green Honda stopped by a police detective this afternoon, charging him with stealing the license plates on the car he was driving.

Joseph Brunetti, 45, was stopped by a Woonsocket Police Detective in an unmarked car at about 2:15 p.m. on Cumberland Hill Road after the detective noticed Brunetti was driving erratically.

A check of the dealer plates attached to the car showed they were stolen, and Brunetti was arrested. He was released with a court summons to answer the charges.

2:45 p.m.: Today at about 2:15 p.m., three Woonsocket Police cruisers and an unmarked detective car were parked around a green Honda stopped on Cumberland Hill Road near True Value and Pepin Lumber.

Traffic was slowing briefly as drivers paused for a look at the scene, which included the driver of the vehicle seated on the sidewalk near his car, his hands restrained behind him.

Public Information Officer Det. Jamie Paone said a detective had spotted the driver operating erratically and pulled the car over. Since it had dealer's plates, officers were working to make sure the car's registration checked out.

DON i think you mean Rob Borkowski getting information so quick.DON did you happen to notice the phone booth near pepin lumber? I saw ROB entering the booth and not looking the same comming out as he went in. I dont want to sound crazy, but a saw he had some kind of different suit on with what looked to be a blue cape draped on his back. I got out of there real fast so I dont what happenede next.
