July 4 Trash Pickup Will be Delayed by One Day
A reminder — the city of Woonsocket's Material Recycle Facility at 943 River Street in Woonsocket will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
A reminder — the city of Woonsocket's Material Recycle Facility at 943 River Street in Woonsocket will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
It also means residents whose trash and recycling is picked up on Friday will see a one-day delay.
Meanwhile, on July 3, Woonsocket and nearby residents will gather near the World War II memorial on Social Street to enjoy a fireworks show, capping off a night of festivities that will include music from Jeff Gamache "crooning patriotic songs and more," Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt said in a release.
The night begins at 7 p.m. The fireworks should begin around 9 p.m.
"Mayor Baldelli-Hunt invites all citizens of Woonsocket to join us as we celebrate our nation’s independence," the release stated.
Bring your lawn chair and/or blankets. Rain date is set for Sat., July 5.
