Ruth H. (Darling) Bergeron, 91: Retired Stitcher, Adult Care Worker

Ruth H. (Darling) Bergeron, 91, died Nov. 14, 2013 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket.

She was the wife of the late Louis H. Bergeron, Sr. Born in North Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Maude E. (Temple) Darling. She worked for 30 years as a stitcher at the former Narragansett Knitting Company before retiring in 1984. Ruth worked part time during her retirement at the Woonsocket Senior Center and Adult Day Care for several years.

She is survived by her son, Robert L. Bergeron and his wife Jennie M. of Woonsocket; her two daughters, Diane R. Barbaria of Norton, MA, and Judith A. Kicia and her husband Richard A. of Sebastian, FL; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Louis H. Bergeron, Jr. and her two brothers, Clifford and Robert Darling. Her funeral will be held, beginning with visitation, Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.

The service will be held immediately following visitation at 4 p.m. Private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
