Rita J. (Kelleter) LeMay: House Keeper at Friendly Home, Gardner

Rita J. (Kelleter) LeMay, 75, of North Smithfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 in Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield, according to Holt Funeral Home.

She was the wife of Ronald A. LeMay, whom she married July 12, 1958.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Julien and Christiana (Couchane) Kelleter. Rita was a house keeper at the Friendly Nursing Home for 10 years, retiring in 1997.

She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. Rita enjoyed gardening, singing and dancing. Besides her husband Ronald, she leaves their four children, Ronald LeMay of Burrillville, Thomas LeMay and Michael Welch, both of No. Smithfield and Arline Bernier of Blackstone; two brothers, Kelly and Alphonse Kelleter, both of Woonsocket; her sister, Margaret Laplume of Woonsocket; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters, Christine Poirier and Michelle LeMay and her sister, Theresa Archambault.

Her funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 23 at 9 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
