Maurice L. Monty: US Marine Vietnam Vet

Maurice L. Monty, 61, of Woonsocket Hill Rd., died October 2, 2013 at his home, according to Holt Funeral Home.
He was the husband of Michele E. (Woodworth) Gerber Monty. Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Maurice A. Monty and Jeannette (Paquette) Lockwood of Marion, MA.
He worked as a rater for the Veterans Association Regional Office of Rhode Island. Monty served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. For his full obituary, visit the funeral home's website.
His burial with full military honors will be held at a later date in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Off of Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA. Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI.
