Jeannette R. Lavallee: Lifelong Manville Resident

Lavallee died Thursday, Feb. 7 at Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence.

 

Jeannette R. Lavallee, 90, of Old River Road, Manville, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence, according to Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home.

Jeannette was the wife of the late Rene A. Lavallee, who passed away in 2011. They had been married for 64 years.

Born in Manville, she was the daughter of the late Laure B. and Exilia (Gregoire) Lussier. She was a lifelong resident of Manville.

Mrs. Lavallee is survived by six daughters, Renee Lavallee of Hawaii, Claire Haponik and her husband Dr. Edward Haponik of North Carolina, Lorraine Perkins and her husband Thomas of Manville, Jeanne Desjardins and her husband Charles of Blackstone, Denise Bryer and her husband John of Pennsylvania, and Diane Bottoms and her husband John of North Carolina. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Robert Lussier and the late Laure Lussier.

A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for a later date. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI. 02904 . Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville.
