Gerard J. Bell, 66: National Guardsman, Worked at CVS

Gerard J. Bell, 66, of Woonsocket, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center.

He was the husband of Suzanne L. (Bouley) Bell, whom he married Nov. 23, 1968. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Dorina (Provost) Bell. Gerard was a 1964 graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy and attended classes at Bryant College. He served for 6 years in the Army National Guard. Gerard worked for the CVS Corporation, and would have been employed there for 50 years on Aug. 4.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Gerard was a family man who enjoyed playing time with his grandchildren and camping. Besides his wife, Suzanne, he leaves their three daughters, Lorrie A. LaBreche and her husband Ronald, Deborah D. Bell and her companion Michael G. Gervais and Christine M. Audette and her husband Kevin, all of Woonsocket and three granddaughters, Elizabeth LaBreche and Olivia and Addelyn Audette, all of Woonsocket. He was predeceased by his sister, Marguerite Poulette.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
