Antoinette Y. (Lawrence) Bacon, 96: Wife of Former Councilor Wilfred E. Bacon

Antoinette Y. (Lawrence) Bacon, 96, of Mendon Rd., died Jan. 6, 2014 in the Ballou Home, Woonsocket.

She was the wife of the late former Woonsocket City Councilor Wilfred E. Bacon.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Antoinette (Lamothe) Lawrence. Bacon was educated and raised as a young child in the former St. Francis Orphanage, Woonsocket.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Wethey of Coventry and Joyce Bacon of Woonsocket, a sister, Gloria Richer of Woonsocket, three grandchildren, Steven Hurteau of Oklahoma, Glen Hurteau of Woonsocket, and Tracey Bonang of Coventry and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edmond and Russell Lawrence and Emilie Gorman.

Her funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 13, beginning with visitation at 9 a.m. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Parish, 445 Washington St., Coventry. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 So. County Trail, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.
