Food Matters Community Conversation Series

Krystal Noiseux, Vice-Chair, RI Food Policy Council and
Recycling Program Manager, Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (RIRRC)
&
Michael OConnell, Executive Director RIRRC will facilitate a group conversation on the Food Policy Council's March 2014 topic:

The Future of the Rhode Island Landfill:
What Will It Mean for Food Waste?

The March 2014 Food Matters will be in one of the buildings of the
Burrillville School District, mentioned recently in an eco-RI article about food waste.

Our conversation will focus on the RI Solid Waste Management Plan with a particular focus on:
Where does the state's trash go now?
What can the state do to keep food waste out of the landfill?
What will Rhode Island do when the Central Landfill is full?

Free and open to the public, but registration required.  Supper will be served - suggested donation of $10 to cover supper costs.
