Little League registration-

Bernon Little League is scheduled to hold registration for its 2012 season this weekend.

Sign-ups will be taken on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the clubhouse on Providence Street.

Additional registration will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jimmy Ray Center on Bourdon Boulevard.

The league provides baseball for children between the ages of 4 and 12 as of May 1. Cost is $40 for the first child in a family, $35 for the second, with a family maximum of $105.

Those registering must provide copies of birth certificates and three proofs of residency.

East Woonsocket Little League is also scheduled to hold in person registration today at Hartnett Field starting at 9 a.m.

Congrats to another city scholar-

Amit Kinha, a member of the class of 2014 at Connecticut College and a resident of Woonsocket, has been named to the Dean's High Honors list for the 2011 fall semester.

Bill Campbell-

will host stand-up comic Bill Campbell tonight at 8 p.m. Entitled A Parenting Story the show revolves around his experiences raising three children.  This 90 minute show is sure to amuse anyone, especially parents. Tickets are $10.

Bernon Heights Playground Design Project-

The Painting Studio at is currently working on a Playground Design Project for Bernon Heights Elementary School. They are trying to design a play area with games without building equipment. If anyone has ideas for the group, they are invited to message the group on their facebook page.
