UPDATE: Woonsocket Customers Impacted by Widespread Cox Email Outage

Cox Communication customers in Woonsocket report they were impacted by email outage.

 

UPDATE: Cox Communications' website reports that as of 6:30 a.m., email service has been restored to their customers. 

Email that was sent to Cox customers' e-mail accounts since Friday will arrive sporadically over the next few days, the company reports, and may not be delivered in the order they were sent.

"Now that service is restored we are moving forward with replacing email storage platform equipment and implementing measures to prevent a reoccurrence of these issues," the company wrote.

Dec. 16: 12:26 p.m.: Cox Communications has reported outages with their email system that impact customers in the Midwest and East Coast regions.  Some Woonsocket customers said they have been impacted as part of the widespread issue.

Lorraine Corey, editor and owner of Mywoonsocket.com, reported that she and several friends had been without Cox e-mail service since Friday night.

The company said it is unable to provide an estimated time for recovery, but will work around the clock until service is restored.
