"Ultimate" Led Zeppelin Experience Coming to Stadium Theatre

ZoSo performs a tribute show that delves straight into what Led Zeppelin was like in their live performances; loose and free-wheeling, taking songs to new places each time they're played, through improvisation, talent and cohesiveness.

Sometimes, firing up the FM radio and hearing what constitutes modern music these days can be depressing. Thankfully, there are stations that play music from the golden age of Rock and Roll in from the 60s through the 70s.

And in Woonsocket on Aug. 1, the Stadium Theatre will be rocking to the sounds of Led Zeppelin thanks to a performance by ZoSo, the top Led Zeppelin cover band in the world and ranked as the sixth-best cover band of any kind by Mashable.com.

According to a release, ZoSo hits the stage to do what they do best with nothing but respect and admiration for Led Zeppelin. For, without Zep there would be no ZoSo. But where most classic rock fans would agree that Led Zeppelin achieved existential rock excellence and god-like status, Zoso has achieved the level of excellence that a tribute band aspires to. A tribute can never replace the real thing, nobody is so disillusioned to think so, but for those couple of hours that ZoSo takes the stage, fans get transported back to the halcyon years of Zep. And for that they love Zoso.

ZoSo fan James Powers recently posted on the band’s Facebook page with the following comment: “Yes as close as you are gonna get (to Led Zeppelin). Sometimes maybe an itty bit better. Saw you guys a few times. Professionals!”

Popular music website UltimateClassicRock.com chronicled the world's great tribute bands, in which writer Sterling Whitaker stated, "ZoSo have established themselves as the leading Zeppelin tribute band in the world by carefully recreating not just the look and music of the band, but also the tight-but-loose spirit of classic Zep."

ZoSo performs a tribute show that delves straight into what Led Zeppelin was like in their live performances; loose and free-wheeling, taking songs to new places each time they're played, through improvisation, talent and cohesiveness of each band member. Those that have seen The Song Remains The Same will get the connection between ZoSo's and Led Zeppelin's on-stage presence and style of play; to Zoso, there is nothing more important than getting things exactly as they should be. Their live performances are not meant to recreate the album recordings, as that doesn't deliver the unique experience they feel that fans want and deserve.
