VIDEO: Woonsocket Commemorates Veterans Day with Song and Ceremony

Museum of Work and Culture hosts a Veterans Day celebration.

A ceremony at the honoring Woonsocket's veterans was dedicated to Marshall Sloat. This year's annual event focused on Woonsocket's contributions to World War I, with a moment of silence and ringing of the bell to honor the 33 soldiers from the city that lost their lives in the conflict.

Museum Co-Director Raymond Bacon provided a historical overview and a plaque was presented to the family of Marshall Sloat, former curator of the Military Display at the Museum of Work & Culture that died earlier this year.
