Finlay Leaves Woonsocket Budget Commission Staff for State Controller's Office

With most of the city's unions signed on to the Budget Commission's 5-year-plan and a $2.5M Supplemental Tax all but green-lit last week, Director of Revenue Rosemary Booth Gallogly showed up to the July 1 Woonsocket Budget Commission meeting with a bouquet of flowers.

John Ward briefly commented Gallogly's presence, bearing a gift, foreshadowed a farewell for a member of the Commission, and he was right - the flowers were for Jennifer Findlay, CPA and state-appointed financial advisor to the Budget Commission. Findlay is leaving the Commission staff for the State Controller's office, where her new title will be Financial Reporting Manager.

"Jenny, it really has been a pleasure working with you, even on bad days," said Commission member Dina Dutremble.

The Budget Commission Staff will now rely solely on Steve Coleman, the second state-appointed financial advisor to the Budget Commission from the Division of Municipal Finance.
