Coming full Arc, Hang in the Parks

Arc de Triomphe - Traffic along the stretch of N. Main Street going through Monument Square is blocked again this morning as construction on the 1/3 scale replica of the Parisian artifact. The work will continue Saturday, when the framing is expected to be finished. During construction, the road will be open during the evenings. The arc gets its mural - laden fabric walls the week of Aug. 29, in time for the Block Party.

Just Play - This is the last day for the City Recreation Department's "Just Play" program (supervised play in the parks with parents and kids, with balls and jump rope) at Dunn Park.

Don't Toss Your Trash Yet: In observance of Victory Day, curbside pick-up of trash and recycling for the week of Aug. 12 to 16 will be delayed by one day. Call the Solid Waste Division at (401) 767-8880 if you have any questions.
