City Man Trekked From Woonsocket To Woonsocket
Hiker completes Rhode Island to South Dakota trip
Bill Fagan finished a 1,700 mile trek by foot from his native Woonsocket to the South Dakota city of the same name yesterday, greeted by fanfare as he finished the final strides of his cross-state hike.
The endurance feat made headlines on both ends of his trip, in the Woonsocket Call, and on KDLT in the Mount Rushmore State.

The Woonsocket Call reports Fagan's been working on finishing the trek for four years, and that he didn't expect a lot of attention when he arrived.
The cheers and applause he received in the KDLT video, then, must have been quite a surprise.
