The following arrest information was supplied by the Woonsocket Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

"Chubby" guy makes off with the gun-

Emmanuel Alcaria, 19, of 316 Manville Rd. was arrested on Saturday after police received reports of gunfire in the area of Second Avenue and Olo Street. A witness told officers that she was out walking her dog when she saw a red Cadilac pulled up beside two girls further down the road. According to the witness, the male driver jumped out and began arguing with the girls, then shot a gun into the air. Two more vehicles pulled up to the scene and the witness stated that around seven people began yelling at the shooter. Officers located casings from a .22 caliber firearm on the ground.

A vehicle matching the description given by the witness was pulled over on North Main Street a short while later. Inside the car, officers located live bullets that matched the casings found in the road, along with a set of brass knuckles. The driver, Alcaria, advised police to call his 22-year-old girlfriend to help explain the incident.

The girlfriend was located and told police that the issue began at Level II Nightclub in Providence.  She said that her and Alcaria told each other they were staying home for the night and then spotted one another at the club. They left separately but then later agreed to meet up on Second Avenue. When Alcaria pulled up, they began to argue and the female said she kicked his car. The woman stated that her boyfriend angrily fired shots into the air before two carloads of people pulled up and began yelling at him. According to her statement, a short chubby Spanish guy wearing a gold striped shirt reached into the car and grabbed the gun, then threw a beer bottle at her face.

Alcaria was charged with disorderly conduct and firing in a compact area.
