City residents packed the Father Marot CYO Center Saturday night for the city's 2011 Mardi Gras celebration. The identity of King Jace XVII was revealed as Queen Amanda Corriveault removed the mask to expose Woonsocket Call publisher Barry Mechanic.

A tasty Cajun buffet was provided by Gary McLaughlin while costumed revellers young and old danced to Zydeco music by local band, Slippery Sneakers, and Louisiana's Lil Waynes & Same Ol' Two Step. Princesses Michelle Tessier and Kali Darling joined kings and queens of years past in the celebration which included raffles and costume prizes.
