WPD Captain Kenneth Paulhus A Finalist for Southborough Chief
Woonsocket officer one of three in running to lead Massachusetts town's police force.
Woonsocket Police Captain Kenneth Paulhus was among three finalists interviewed for an open police chief position at the Southborough, MA, Board of Selectmen's Monday meeting.
Southborough Selectman Chairman Daniel L. Kolenda said Paulhus was, "A very impressive individual," when reached Tuesday night for comment on Southborough's search for a new police chief. He said the board will make its decision Thursday.
Paulhus, support captain for the Woonsocket Police Department, leads the internal affairs and professional standards division, training division, evidence and property, and maintenance. He is in the running for Southborough Chief with Southborough Lt. Shawn James, an internal candidate, and Worcester, MA Police Lt. Richard Bates.
Southborough is a small town with a population of 9,767 about 40 minutes north of Woonsocket on Rte. 495. The Southborough Police Department is comprised of 15 officers and 25 employees altogether.
