ReplyIt's too bad that, since the charges are only misdemeanors, there probably won't be much of an intervention with this kid's crime career,
because he already seems very "professional" for someone who's only 19.
A series of backpacks to be picked up later? That's not casual theft, that's very well organized, and normally it would have limited the cash value in the charges to only what he had on him.And stealing apartment keys and garage door openers!
That's premeditation of future B&E right there.
Very unsettling. -

Obviously, Leave, you're a troll. But there are plenty of people who really think that, so I wanted to add this:
Actually the problem tends to be the other way around-- a leg or spinal injury that si severe enough to make walking very painful and difficult, will also make it very hard for them to burn adequate calories in their day to day life. Over the years, (particularly if they are already prone to weight gain) they get heavier, because dieting alone actually slows the metabolism and ultimately makes dieting-alone less and less effective.
And as they get heavier, it's harder to walk, creating a vicious cycle.THAT is why you see so many heavy people on automated chairs, not because they are all just "lazy fat people" who don't want to move.
(If anyone reading this is in this vicious cycle, btw, ask a doctor about water exercise.)

Most of you are not from Woonsocket,
so, not knowing what he's like,
you don't realize that Russell is mostly just trolling you. He's got a subtle kinda humor...don't you, Russell? =)

Chorus, I think both parties deserve blame.
But let's recall-- the new funding formula that has drastically underfunded the poorest and most overburdened school systems in RI was developed under and signed into law by
Republican gov. Don Carcieri. -

Ah yes-- Leo and John's campaign tactics!
Anyone with sharp eyes has been watching them lay the foundations at meetings over the past few months....anyone without sharp eyes is just soaking them in unconsciously. They've been at the top levels of local government for many years now,
and KNEW the budget cuts were coming ---and the city is in huge financial trouble in many areas that are less easy to blame on the state and thus get quietly shuffled behind the curtain--
but the State! the State!
We had NOTHING to do with this mess-- It was all the state and why didn't our reps defend us from gubernatorial budget cuts?Don't get me wrong. The State changes to school funding (made by our previous Repub. Governor) are unfair and the hurt us.
But Woonsocket is a mess on the local level, and we have been for years. There is plenty of blame to spread around, and as Leo was CIty Council president before become mayor, he earns a double portion =( -

I'm registered independent, and hate the two-party system, but...
We've had kind of an awful lot of Repubs in office, locally, during this whole downward spiral.
Not sure pinning your hopes on one party is going to help you at this level of government right now.Personally, I don't care if a candidate is Rep., Dem., a third party or totally independent....I look at the candidate him or herself.
Smart? Competent? Experienced? Transparent?
In command of good communication skills? Good ideas?
