Merrimack College Names Gamache To Dean's List

Science and Engineering honored for her studies.

  Kayla Gamache, a resident of Woonsocket, was named to the Fall 2012 Deans' List at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. To be eligible, a student must achieve a 3.25 grade point average or higher, based on a 4.0 grading system. Kayla is a Senior in the School of Science and Engineering. Founded in 1947 by the Order of St. Augustine, Merrimack College is a private, selective college located just minutes from Boston in North Andover, Massachusetts. The College offers over 40 undergraduate majors in liberal arts, science and engineering and part-time degree completion and certificate programs.

Three Woonsocket Students Make Dean's List At Keene

State College names locals among 1,441 fellow scholars.

  Keene State College has released the Dean's List for the fall semester 2012. Among the 1,441 students named to the Dean's List are: Kimberly Rose Christel of Woonsocket, RI Brianna Nicole Masse of Woonsocket, RI Nicole Frances Provensal of Woonsocket, RI The Dean's List designation is bestowed to those Keene State College undergraduates enrolled in a degree program who have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the semester, receiving no failing or incomplete grades. Rebecca Landry Named to Dean's List at the University of New Haven

Woonsocket resident honored for studies.

  Rebecca Landry of Woonsocket has been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Haven for the fall 2012 semester.  Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible for the Dean's List. A leader in experiential education, the University of New Haven is experiencing a historic and nationally recognized surge in enrollment. Founded in 1920, the University provides its students with a unique combination of solid liberal arts and real-world, hands-on professional training. UNH is a private university with an 80-acre main campus.

Brittany Dickie Makes Dean's List At Curry College

Local student excels among fellow scholars.

Curry College's Chief Academic Officer David Potash is pleased to announce that Woonsocket resident Brittany Dickie attained membership to the Curry College Dean's List for the Spring 2012 term. "Curry students who achieve the Dean's List demonstrate deep commitment to learning and academic success," said Dean Potash. "We are proud of them and their accomplishments." To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.30 G.P.A., have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a "C" for the semester.   Thuy-Diem Nguyen  and Sergio Pratt of Woonsocket are among those named to the Roger Williams University Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Nguyen is a Visual Arts major. Pratt is a Criminal Justice major. Lauren Clem, from Woonsocket, R.I., is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Roy Sung, from Woonsocket, R.I., is studying Computing Science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Villanova University Dean's List recipients are honored by their college's respective dean.   Kayla Gamache, a resident of Woonsocket, was named to the Spring Semester 2012 Dean's List at Merrimack College. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a 3.25 grade point average or higher, based on a 4.0 grading system. Kayla is a Junior majoring in Athletic Training. The only Catholic Augustinian college in New England, Merrimack College is a selective, independent, co-educational institution with 2,000 full-time students from 22 states and 20 countries.

Woonsocket Scholars Named to Dean's List at Providence College

Locals honored for their scholarship.

The following area residents have been named to the dean's list at Providence College for the Spring 2012 semester: Corey Brunelle of Woonsocket is a member of the class of 2012, Samantha Leclaire of Woonsocket is a member of the class of 2014, Elaine St. Germain of Woonsocket is a member of the class of 2014, To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits. Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. Since 1997, Providence College has consistently been ranked as one of the top five regional universities in the north in U.S. News' America's Best Colleges.
