William C. “Willy” Bishop, 91, died Tuesday at Trinity Health & Rehab Center, according to Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home. He was the former husband and friend of Shirley R. (DeCosta) Bishop of Pawtucket. Born in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Arthur and Mini Bishop. He resided in Cumberland and Seekonk for most of his life. Vitale, 91, of Greenville, a member of the Manville Enrico Caruso Club, died Saturday, March 16 surrounded by his family at the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence, according to Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home. He was married to the late Lida C. (Rossi) Vitale for 59 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Anthony and Mary (DeRosa) Vitale. Vincent was a WWII Army Veteran and a Salesman for Nabisco for 40 years before retiring. He was elected to the Smithfield Town Council and was an active member of the Smithfield Democratic Town Committee. Irene Godin, 97, of Albion, died Sunday morning at Oakland Grove surrounded by her loving family, according to Menard-Lacouture funeral home. She was the wife of the late Adrien Godin, Sr. Born in St. Eugene, P.Q., Canada, she was a daughter of the late Onesime Gendron Sr. and Anna (Norman) Gendron. She was raised in Canada and came to the United States as a child and settled in Albion. Born in Manville, he was a son of the late Napoleon and Eva (Dupont) Robidoux. He was raised in Manville and attended St. James parochial school. Mr. Robidoux was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy, Class of 1954. He went on to graduate magna cum laude with his Masters and post-graduate degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles.
