We haven't seen much snow around here in almost a full calendar year, but the first significant snowstorm of the season may be hitting overnight Saturday. The forecasts vary greatly — calling in Woonsocket for as little as 2 inches on the low end to as many as 10 on the high end — but it seems likely the area will get at least some significant snowfall. As of 4:43 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts that will be in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday morning.
