State Trooper Log: Arson Parolee Fails Drug Test, Arrests For Court Scofflaws

Detective Bureau Man on parole for 1983 arson arrested for failing drug test On Feb. 11, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested James Grundy, 51, of 95 Rathbun St., Woonsocket as a parole violator after he failed a drug test. Grundy was convicted on a 1983 charge of arson, death resulting, brought by the Providence Police in 1989. He was serving 15 years probation at the time of his arrest, according to RI State Police Maj. Michael Winquist. Grundy was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to officials at the Adult Correctional Institutions.
