Holiday hours listed, blood drive scheduled for Monday, 3-6 p.m.

  Library Hours  The library will be closed on Monday, Dec. 24 for Christmas Eve, and Tuesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas Day.  The library will be closing at 5 p.m. on December 31st.  The library will also be closed on Tuesday, January 1st for New Year’s Day.  The library’s regular hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rhode Island Blood Center Blood Drive Monday, Dec. 3, 3-6 p.m. Each donation can save up to three lives!  Free pizza for donors. Woonsocket Harris Public Library seeking LEGOs for new club.

  Library Hours  The library will be closed on Monday, September 3rd for Labor Day.  Saturday hours will resume September 8th. Nooks Available For Checkout At Woonsocket Library

Harris Public Library Lists June Events.

  The library’s regular hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Saturday hours end for the summer June 16, and will resume Sept. 8. Nooks Are Here! Starting June 4, the library will start circulating Nook e-readers.  There are two models of the Nook: the Nook Simple Touch and the Nook Color. The Nook Simple Touch is a simple black and white e-reader designed just for reading ebooks.  The Nook Color is a tablet that allows users to read ebooks, go on the internet (where wifi is available), stream video and use applications.  Picture books are especially fun on the Nook Color as many children’s ebooks are interactive. The following information was provided by the Office of the Secretary of State. Secretary of State Ralph A. Mollis is reminding Woonsocket voters they have until Saturday to register to vote in the April 24 presidential primary. Woonsocket elections officials have made arrangements for residents to register at the Harris Library in Woonsocket from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, Mollis will register voters at his Providence office at 148 West River St. from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday’s deadline isn’t just targeted at first-time voters, but voters who have moved or changed their names since the last time they voted to update their information. “Four years ago voters turned out in record numbers. The Woonsocket Harris Library hosts a knitting class for youngsters today at 6 p.m.

You're never too young to learn a handy skill. Kids can learn to knit with Ms. Jen at Woonsocket Harris Public Library, 303 Clinton St., today at 6 p.m. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or are working on a project and would like some help. Ms. Jen's class meets every Wednesday, 6-7 p.m. for ages 10 and up. Call the children's room at 769-9044 for more information. Ms. Jen also has a group for adults on Mondays at 7 p.m.
