Woonsocket Opens Senior Center Warming Shelter As Cold Sets In
Water, lavatory available at Social Street site.
If you're in need of some help staying warm during the next few days, Woonsocket's Emergency Management Agency has some relief in store at the Senior Center. The city's EMA has arranged for a warming center at the 84 Social St. location. The warming center will be open today, Thursday and Friday from 1 - 4 p.m. There will be a lavatory and water fountain available, but no other amenities, according to a release sent by Woonsocket Fire Chief Gary Lataille.
