Police Log: Detained Pair Give False Names, Get Arrested Anyway

The following arrest information was supplied by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

  Chris Leeman, 53, of 183 Elm St., apt. L3 and Michelle Ferretti, 37, of 62 Central St., both of whom had active warrants, gave false names to Woonsocket Police when they were stopped near St. James Church on Hamlet Avenue Nov. 12, adding obstruction to the charges agaisnt them. At about 6:20 p.m., Officer Scott Breguet stopped the two near the back of the church parking lot to question them since the church was closed. Each gave Breguet a false name. Leeman spelled his name for Breguet incorrectly several times, but when the officer checked his bacpack his correct name was printed on a bag inside it, along with his age.  Leeman's record had two active family court arrest warrants, along with a mug shot that confirmed his identity.
