State Police Log: Troopers Arrest Woman At Woonsocket DMV Office For Bad Checks

The following arrest information was supplied by the RI State Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  Scituate Barracks Woman arrested for passing bad checks At 2:40 p.m. Sept. 15, Troopers arrested Cynthia Benoit, 48, of 49 Phebe St., third floor, Woonsocket, for: 1) Fraudulent checks (under $1000) – 2 counts 2) Woonsocket Police Department Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Fraudulent Checks (under $1000) – 2 counts 3) Lincoln Police Department Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Fraudulent Checks (under $1000). The arrest was the result of an investigation by Trooper S. Brown and Troopers responding to the Woonsocket Division of the Department of Motor Vehicles for the woman. Benoit was transported to State Police Headquarters for processing and later released after being arraigned by a justice of the peace on all Affidavit Warrants

State Trooper Log: Arrests For Suspended License, Failing To Appear

The following arrest information was supplied by the RI State Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  Man arrested for operating on suspended license On Tuesday, Sept. 4 At 10:21 a.m., Troopers arrested Jay Shorts, age 20, of 200 Providence St., Woonsocket, Rhode Island on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant originating out of Rhode Island State Police Headquarters on the original charge of Operating Under a Suspended License. The arrest was the result of a follow-up investigation and Troopers responding to the residence.
