Police Log: Two Men Arrested For Stealing Brass Railings From St. Charles

Railings were scrapped and could not be recovered.

  On Feb. 21, Woonsocket Police Detective Thomas Gormley arrested Timothy Ring and Robert Ceraolo for the theft of metal hand railings from St. Charles Church, at 190 North Main St. The brass railings were reported stolen on Feb. 16 by Rev. Gerald Finnegan who noticed they were missing while shoveling the front steps of the church. The estimated value of the railings is $10,000. Ring and Ceraolo are each being charged with one count larceny over $1,500 and conspiracy. The railings had been scrapped at L&R Scrap Metal at 631 River St.and cannot be recovered.
