WPD Seeking Woonsocket Palace Pizza Robber

Robbery of about $60 reported at 11:27 a.m.

  Woonsocket Police are searching for a man in a dark-colored (black or green) jacket after a reported robbery at Woonsocket Palace Pizza this morning at about 11:27 a.m. Woonsocket Police Public Information Officer Jamie Paone said the shop reported a man wearing a black mask and an either black or green jacket robbed the pizza shop, indicating he had a gun but not showing a weapon. Paone said the man stole $60 from the shop's register and fled on foot. The man is either white or hispanic and short to medium height, Paone said. Officers began searchng the area at the corner of Front Street and Hamlet Street shortly after the call. Police Log: Man Arrested For Robbing Would-Be Pot Sellers

The following arrest information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

  Woonsocket Police arrested Hector Villegas-Alvarez, 32, of 213 South Main St., Apt. 1f, in the area of 248 River St. Jan. 14, charging him in the robbery of one man who thought he and his friends were showing up to sell marijuana. At about 8:35 p.m., according to Officer Gregory Klocek's report, he and two other officers responded to River Street for a report of an assault and robbery, with four men fleeing the area. When Klocek arrived, he saw a 16-year-old boy sitting on the ground with his T-shirt held to his head, which was bleeding. He said he'd been struck with an object, but didn't know what. Police Log: Officers searching For Man Who Robbed Diamond Hill Dunkin

Robber in gray sweatshirt, black bandana took about $150 from coffee shop.

  Police are searching for a man who robbed Dunkin Donuts on Diamond Hill Road at gunpoint Nov. 30, making off with about $150.  Woonsocket Police responded to the 1431 Diamond Hill Road address at about 7:14 p.m. and spoke with the clerk. He told them that at about 7:10 p.m., a man wearing a gray sweatshirt and black bandanna entered the store. When the clerk asked what he could get the man, he told him "empty it, empty it," indicating the cash drawer. That demand proved difficult for the clerk to comply with, since the drawer was assigned to a different employee. Tha man told him to cancel the sale, but the clerk told him that wouldn't open the drawer either.  Finally, the robber told the clerk to open the drive through cash drawer, …

Police Log: Wallet Theft Suspect Robs Social Street Shell, Park Square McDonalds

Busy month for wanted man ends in two felony charges after being caught with cash box at at the intersection of Park Avenue and Logee Street.

  The theft of a wallet Nov. 6 at Rick's Bar and Grill on Cass Avenue wasn't enough for Vernon Lamont Thomas, 37, of 372 Robinson St., apt. 2F — he also robbed the Shell Gas Station on Social Street Nov. 20 and the Park Square McDonalds Nov. 24. At Rick's Bar and Grill Nov. 6, a bartender placed her wallet, containing about $120 in tips, in her purse near the bar and noticed it missing from the purse about 11:30 p.m. She said that Thomas had been sitting near her purse at the time, but didn't observe him remove the wallet.  Video surveillance of the bar showed Thomas reaching into the waitress's purse and removing something. Woonsocket Police Make Arrests In J&B Liquors Robbery

Detective Gormley, Lincoln Police link two men to July 11 robbery.

  Woonsocket Police Detective Thomas Gormley has arrested two suspects in the robbery of J&B Liquors at 1117 Social St. July 11. During that robbery, a black male had entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register, according to a release from the department. The suspect fled the area with a second black male in a silver Volkswagen Jetta. There were no injuries during this robbery. The suspects fled with approximately $600 in cash. Max Charlemagne, 26, of Pawtucket, was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Conspiracy for the robbery of J&B Liquors. Christopher Noel, 31, of Lincoln, was charged with conspiracy for his part in the robbery. Both subjects were arrested on Sept. 24 by Lincoln Police on unrelated …

UPDATE: Woonsocket Police Seek Public's Aid In Search For Robbers Of JB Liquors

Man showed gun, got cash, left in waiting car driven by second man.

UPDATE (3:50 p.m.) : Woonsocket Police Det. Sgt. Matt Ryan says the department is seeking the public's help in locating two men involved in the robbery of JB Liquors this afternoon. Ryan said the robber, a black male wearing a red hoodie, brandished a black hand gun during the incident. His accomplice, who drove a light silver colored Volkswagen Jetta waiting outside the store, is a heavyset black male, Ryan said. The pair fled in the Jetta down Wood Ave. into the city, Ryan said. Warwick Police Arrest Woonsocket Robbery Suspect

Kenny Jenkins held at ACI, charged with three robberies between June 11 and June 16.

  Woonsocket Police got a gift from the Warwick Police Department yesterday when they arrested Kenny Jenkins, a suspect in three local robberies, on unrelated charges in Warwick. The robberies occurred in Woonsocket between June 11 and June 16, involved the use of a stick in two incidents and a wrench in the third. Jenkins was able to steal $200 in the first incident, and did not get any money from the other two attempts. WPRI.com has a photo of Jenkins.  The first robbery was on on June 11 at about 6:26 a.m. at the Shell Gas Station at 1030 Social St., when a man entered the store carrying a stick and demanded money from the cash register. Police Log: Robbery Victim Arrested For Mushrooms In Bedroom

The following arrest information was supplied by the Woonsocket Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  A bad Monday for a man whose electronic posessions caught the eyes of treacherous houseguests got worse when police responding to his call found the hallucinogenic mushrooms they overlooked. On May 14 at 9 p.m., Woonsocket Police responded to 270 Second Ave., apt. 3, for a report of an armed robbery by four men wearing black clothing. Police spoke with Joseph C. Long, 31, who said he, his 10-year-old daughter, and Felix Almonte, 33, were playing video games with four other guests when one, identified only as "D", offered them marijuana. All but Long's daughter accepted. Shortly after, Long said, the four guests forced he and his daughter to sit on the couch as they demanded their cash, keys and cell phones.
