Woonsocket's Brittany Dickie Named to Patriots Cheerleaders 2013 Squad

Mount St. Charles grad makes final cut for 25-member team.

  After a six-week audition process, the New England Patriots Cheerleaders have chosen their squad for the 2013 season — including Woonsocket's Brittany Dickie. Dickie, 21, was among 36 finalists to participate in the annual Patriots Cheerleaders Boot Camp – the final phase of the audition process. To get there, she had to make it through the preliminary auditions in March when approximately 320 applications were submitted at open auditions, among the highest turnouts in team history. Dickie was one of 57 candidates who were invited back for final auditions on March 16 and made the cut down to 36. She and the 35 other contestants just completed the annual boot camp portion of the audition on March 30, which consisted of four sessions. …

NFL Playoffs: TV Schedule and Where to Watch Championship Games in Woonsocket

The New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the AFC Championship Game. Here’s a roundup of where and when to catch the games this Championship Weekend.

The New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens Gillette Stadium in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, battling for the right to go to their second straight Super Bowl, and sixth in the Tom Brady/Bill Belichick era. The NFL Championship Weekend begins Sunday at 3 p.m. on Fox when the Atlanta Falcons host the San Fransisco 49ers to determine the NFC champion. Then, at 6:30 p.m., on CBS, the Patriots kick off against rival Baltimore. There is some recent history between the two teams, beginning in 2009, when the Ravens marched into Foxboro and stunned the heavily favored Patriots, 33-14 to knock the home team out of the playoffs. The early game will be good, but the one to watch will be the Ravens/Patriots matchup. Both teams are very familiar with each other and it’ll be close and I think the Patriots will win this one in a high-scoring affair.
