WPD Enforcing Travel Ban, Parking Ban Stretched Till Monday

Cumberland High School Shelter Open, 108 National Grid Customers without power.

  UPDATE 3:42 p.m.: Based on the positive progress made clearing RI roadways, Governor Lincoln D. Chafee has decided to lift the travel ban on RI roadways at 4 p.m. today.  Chief Gary Lataille's plea to residents to remain indoors and allow road crews to continue to clear city streets unhampered remains in effect.   2 p.m.: Chances are, if you're reading this, Governor Lincoln Chafee's travel ban applies to you. One of the exceptions that applies to folks who aren't emergency services personnel, healthcare workers or utility crews would be people making their way to emergency shelters, such as the one across the town line at Cumberland High School.
