Dave Fisher Announces Run for Mayor
Candidate makes case for mayor on Youtube, blog, Facebook.
Dave Fisher, former campaign manager for Congressional candidate Abel Collins, reporter for for EcoRI.org and occasional blogger for Woonsocket Patch, announced his run for Mayor this week on RIFuture.org. "This is an idea that I've been kicking around in my head for the last couple of election cycles," Fisher said in a YouTube video of his announcement. Fisher said he intends to stop the city's "downward slide" by providing new ideas at the local level. "It pains me to see the decline of this city that I grew up in that I have so much pride in," Fisher said. He added that municipal and state leaders aren't, "bringing anything new to the table."
