The $10,000 winning ticket from Friday's Mega Millions® drawing was claimed on Monday by William Wiegand of Woonsocket. The ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. If he had chosen to play the Megaplier® option for an additional $1, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 4 to equal $40,000. He purchased the winning ticket at Gulf Express at 852 Park Ave. in Woonsocket. The employees there are like family to him, he said, and he plans to share some of his winnings with them as well.
