State Police Task Force Nabs Woonsocket Man on Heroin Delivery Charges

HIDTA seizes ninety-three grams of heroin, scales, packaging material.

  The Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force arrested a Woonsocket man in a heroin distribution operation Wednesday as a result of an undercover investigation. During November, Task Force members received information from the Franklin, Massachusetts Police Department and Department of Homeland Security/Immigration and Customs Enforcement about a man running a heroin distribution operation in Woonsocket, Colonel Steven G. O’Donnell, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police, announced.  A Task Force member, acting undercover, was able to make contact with the target and purchase heroin from him on several occasions. These dealers aren't victims they know exactly what they are getting into and what they are doing and that it's illegal! End of story!
