A convicted cocaine dealer arrested by the DEA April 24 was sentenced to 2 years in prison in US District Court today. Dwayne O’Hagan, 30, of Woonsocket, arrested by members of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Drug Task Force for dealing cocaine on the streets of Woonsocket, received a sentence on the high end of advisory federal sentencing guidelines, according to a joint release from US Attorney Peter F. Neronha; John J. Arvanitis, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA’s New England Field Division; and Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas S. Carey. U.S. District Court Judge William E. Andrew Rios, 41, of California, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Providence today to federal drug trafficking charges in connection with the seizure of 65 kilos of cocaine and more than $1.2 million in cash in North Kingstown in January 2011, the largest cocaine seizure ever in Rhode Island. The Woonsocket Police Department worked with the DEA and Rhode Island State Police in a joint partnership resulting in the bust. Rios, appearing before U.S. District Court Judge William E. Smith, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine and one count of possessing with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. A crack dealer who ran afoul of a joint DEA/Woonsocket Police investigation will serve more than seven years for selling to undercover WPD detectives. Eddie Torie Barr, 36, of Woonsocket, arrested in October 2011 during an undercover investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Woonsocket Police into the distribution of crack cocaine in Woonsocket was sentenced today to 92 months in federal prison, announced United States Attorney Peter F.
