Bye, bye BLUE carts - Attention, Woonsocket residents: The City of Woonsocket has sold the BLUE recycle carts. Collection of the carts will begin on Monday Dec. 17. The carts will be collected as they are emptied. Please leave the BLUE cart out in the sidewalk area. The BLUE carts will no longer be used in the collection of recyclables. Residents in the city program will only use the GREEN cart each week for recycling. Property owners and tenants are not allowed to keep the BLUE carts; they are city property. Any carts that cannot be collected; either lost, missing, stolen or are withheld by the property occupants will be invoiced to the property owner at $40.00 per cart.
