State Trooper Log: Arson Parolee Fails Drug Test, Arrests For Court Scofflaws

The following arrest information was provided by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Detective Bureau Man on parole for 1983 arson arrested for failing drug test On Feb. 11, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested James Grundy, 51, of 95 Rathbun St., Woonsocket as a parole violator after he failed a drug test. Grundy was convicted on a 1983 charge of arson, death resulting, brought by the Providence Police in 1989. He was serving 15 years probation at the time of his arrest, according to RI State Police Maj. Michael Winquist.  Grundy was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to officials at the Adult Correctional Institutions. Jealous Woman Tries To Set Man's Car On Fire

  On Tuesday, May 22 at 12:06 p.m., Woonsocket Police responded to 188 Willow St. for a call reporting about four people involved in a heated argument. That adjective proved apt, as officers wound up arresting one woman, Jasmine Jiminez, 26, of 30 Chalapa Drive on an arson charge, among others. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with Alexander Lopez, 24, who had a scratch above his left eye, which was swollen. He also had three scratches on his shoulder. Lopez told officers he and Jiminez had been separated for three months, but were starting to talk and date again. He said he was inside his apartment with his ex-girlfriend when Jiminez entered and began to scream and throw things at him. Jiminez then snapped Lopez's laptop, causing …
