Woonsocket Policemen Timothy Green and Gabriel Koneczny were called to 640 Social St. to check on the address after the station received a 911 hangup call. When they arrived, the officers found a crowd of people outside the address, yelling at each other. Koneczny asked who had made the call, and a man, later identified as Lamont Mills of apt. 4 at the address, said it was probably his apartment. Lamont lead the officers to the apartment. When they entered, Koneczny saw the apartment was in disarray; the floors covered with food, liquid, and broken items from the kitchen. On May 19 at about 1:27 a.m., Woonsocket Police Officer Jason Berthelette was called to Piedmont Street to assist with a motor vehicle accident involving a a gray 2010 Toyota running into a utility pole. When Berthelette arrived, he spoke with the driver of the car, Brittany J. Bongo, 23, of Mansfield, MA. The woman said she was backing out of a parking spot when she struck the pole. She said she was in the city with a friend at a bar. She said the accident was caused because she is "not good at reversing" according to Berthelette's report. While speaking with Bongo, Berthelette reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. He also noted Bongo had bloodshot eyes and slurred her speech. An officer responding to a domestic disturbance between a couple on Burnside Avenue was bitten by one of the occupant's dogs May 7 while a woman resisted arrest. At about 6:18 a.m., Woonsocket Police Officers Christopher Bouvier and Patrick Greeno were called to a Burnside Avenue apartment building after a man who sounded very upset called the department, according to Officer Michael Theroux's report. The officers arrvived to find a man who said he had had an argument with Katie Acevedo, 45, his wife, who had locked him out of the apartment. Woonsocket Police Officer Scott Breguet radioed the dispatcher to report he was being waved down by a group of people near the bus stop on Clinton Street at about 6:26 p.m. April 28. Breguet said the people told him a woman had been assaulted by her boyfriend, Arthur Ernest Alther, 55, who wasn't there when he arrived. Officer Gregory Klocek also responded to the scene, speaking with Breguet and then with the woman, who said Alther had punched and kicked her in the back, according to his report. Several of the people at the bus stop confirmed Alther had assaulted the woman. There was also a no contact order against Alther for the woman, Klocek discovered. Woonsocket Police Officer Andrew Girard responded to the area of Rockridge Drive for a report of a disturbance at about 8:47 p.m., but was unable to locate anyone who could provide further details. While searching the neighborhood, Girard found a 22-year-old with grass stains on his jeans who looked like he'd been in some type of struggle. When Girard asked him his name, the young man said "Don't worry about it." Woonsocket Police Officer Gregory Klocek inquired further, discovering the man's name was Ariel Hernandez, 22. When asked if he knew anything about the disturbance, Hernandez replied again, "Don't worry about it." The man had no warrants for his arrest and was allowed to go on his way. On April 23 at about 5:55 p.m., Woonsocket Police Lt. Adam Remick was notified by US Marshals that a black Nissan registered to Antonio Gerardo Rosario, 45, wanted by the WPD for domestic sexual assault charges, at his 28 Transit St. home. Remick, two members of the US Marshal's office, and two Woonsocket Police officers responded to Apt. 1 at the address to locate Rosario. Upon knocking, the lawmen were greeted by Rosario, who answered the door, according to Remick's report. Remick immediately entered the apartment and placed Rosario into custody without incident. Woonsocket Police Officer James Dybala was patrolling Park Avenue On April 25, at about 4:25 a.m., listening to North Smithfield Police radio when he heard a call for an erratic driver in a black SUV turning down the avenue toward him. Dybala located the vehicle and followed it, observing as it traveled toward downtown Woonsocket, crossing the center line three times, according to his report. Dybala pulled the SUV over, but the driver stopped the vehicle in the center of the lane instead of to the side. As Dybala got out of his cruiser to approach the SUV, it pulled over to the side a little more, but remained in the lane, blocking traffic. When Woonsocket Police officer Jason Berthelette caught up with James Lambert, 23, of 44 Oak St., apt. 3RDF outside the Our Pad bar on River Street April 13, the assault suspect admitted the crime. "I hope I put him in the hospital," James said, according to Berthelette's report. As it happened, the victim, Joshua DaSilva, 20, was on his way to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries to his head and neck after being beaten and by James and his brother, Christopher Lambert, 21, at the second floor apartment of James's ex-girlfriend, Stephanie Sepulveda 19, also at 44 Oak St., according to Sepulveda and DaSilva. A Wooonsocket Sears employee and her boyfriend face felony larceny and conspiracy charges respectively for stealing more than $5,000 in batteries, tires and equipment from the store's auto department between March 23 and April 1. On April 1 at 10:50 p.m., Woonsocket Police were called to the store at 1500 Diamond Hill Road by the company's loss prevention officer for a shoplifting investigation. While en route, dispatch advised officers the suspected theif was still in a green Saturn parked outside the building, according to officer David Bibeault's report.
