It's finally Friday - here are some things to know.
Monument dedication - Come out to the corner of Mason and South Main Streets Saturday at 10 a.m. for the unveiling of a monument to the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and legacy. School's in - Today is the first day of school for Woonsocket Public Schools. Mind the extra pedestrians crossing the street this morning, and be careful passing bus stops. The first day will be a sunny one for students, and 74 degrees. Providence Street Closed - Repairs to a broken sewer main on Providence Street near #121 will close the road today from to Lincoln Street to Ballou Street. The repair is expected to take one workday to complete. There will be no thru-trucking on Providence Street from South Main Street to Smithfield Road that day.
