The Socio-Economic Development Center for Southeast Asians (SEDC-SEA) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and integration of Southeast Asian culture while empowering the community by focusing on equality and self-sufficiency.

City of Woonsocket Main Street/Riverfront Initiative

Main Street/Riverfront Initiative started in 1990 and was formerly  Main Street 2000 DevelopmentMore Corporation. 

Located in City Hall, the group is  a private-non-profit organization with the purpose of addressing the declining business on Main Street and encouraging new economic activity and development.   The project was created by the City of Woonsocket and the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and focuses on improving the overall appearance and image of this central city zone.  

RiverzEdge Arts Project

RiverzEdge Arts Project is an innovative youth development program in Woonsocket that gives educationally andMore economically disenfranchised youth (ages 12 to 24) in northern Rhode Island an opportunity for paid employment in the arts and a voice in their community. 

The program offers clients all of the typical services of a design firm including web and logo design, photography, stationary and screen printing, plus eco-friendly landscape and public art ideas. Riverzedge has won numerous awards and was the recent winner of the 2010 Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award. 

All students involved in this program must keep their grades up and apply to college.
