Russell Archambault September 8, 2012 at 10:06 pm

I feal that its pretty bad that citizens have to donate their time to do repairs and clean up whenRead More the cosodians are being paid well to do their jobs. Does't anybody ever see the cause of the problems.
Laurie Smith August 15, 2012 at 01:35 pm
Russ, I'm guessing you dont volunteer any of your time to anything unless you are getting paid to doRead More so! We volunteer's volunteer our time because we choose to give back to the less fortunate. It's not a chore, we like to help were help is needed regardless of what community is on the recieving end. Oh and by the way...the work we did at Roger Williams Middle School was much needed work that WE volunteers had a great time doing so and not only did we VOLUNTEER out time, the supplies where also donated from paint to loom to mulch and flowers to beautify the grounds, wood to make benches, this kind of work is WAY out of the job description of a custodian!! Thanks Laurie
Russell Archambault August 15, 2012 at 04:32 pm
lauri if you even had a clue you would have no choice to retract your view. by the way you areRead More totally wrong about a custodians job sorry.

While the idea of these silhouettes is touching, when I saw the dedication on the news this eveningRead More I couldn’t help but wonder how long it will take before they are vandalized and/or graffiti tagged like all the other nice things our city and its good people attempt to do in good faith to improve our neighborhoods. Has anyone walked through our “new” parks lately?
Sandy Phaneuf January 17, 2012 at 01:36 am
Carol, Part of what's innovative (we hope) about this approach is that generally graffiti artistsRead More will not cover up another artist's work. This is why the murals - like the one across the street from city hall and the one at Dunn Park remain untouched. I believe the hope is that the same rules apply. Here's hoping it works.
