Council Tonight Starts Thanksgiving Week

Council Tonight - The Woonsocket City Council meets on a light agenda Monday at 7 p.m. in Harris Hall, third floor in City Hall, 169 Main St. 

They'll consider a second hand dealer's license for Mason Street Flea Market and hold a liquor license hearing concerning an alleged violation at Boilermaker's, 81 Allen St.

Turkey Day trash Schedule - On Thursday, in the observance of Thanksgiving Day, the Woonsocket Material Recycle Facility located at 943 River Street will be closed. The Recycle Facility will be open on Friday Nov. 29, Saturday Nov. 30. Woonsocket residents are reminded that curbside pick-up for trash, recycling and yard waste for Thursday and Friday will be delayed by one day. If you don’t recycle it we can’t save it.

Help Out - 
If you've got food or money to spare, a few local organizations could use your assistance helping out Woonsocket's needy this year.

Toys for Tots at Globe - Globe Park School's student senate/PTA is collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots this year through Dec. 13. Donations can be left in the bin at the school's front office, 192 Avenue A.

Autumnfest Button Update -WNRI's Jeff Gamache reports the $200 Autumnfest Buton prize has been claimed by Marie Harnois. 

They're still looking for the trip winner. A new number for that prize has been drawn: 1362.

DO NOT throw away your buttons until all prizes are claimed. New winners will be drawn each Monday at 4pm on 1380 WNRI until all prizes are claimed.
